Welcome to SpinGlitz...a place where you will find one-of-a-kind handspun yarn created on my favorite of 14 wheels, the Mach 1 by SpinOlution. I was so impressed with the innovations in this spinning wheel and that it was engineered here in California I became a dealer. For me, spinning fiber into yarn is like petting a cat. Very relaxing and therapeutic, but with spinning, the result is yarn you can knit, crochet, weave or caress and admire. As with petting a cat you will have fluff stuck to your clothes and floating along the baseboards of your studio, but if you drape a skein of yarn across a loom visitor?s won?t notice the dust bunnies for this is the domain of a fiber artist. Rather than a crazy cat lady with highly groomed felines she calls her spinning flock. I am so fortunate to live in an area with several spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, and lace guilds and my knowledge in these art forms is inspired by the generosity of the members and teachers I have met through these guilds. My foray into one-of-a-kind yarns started from classes I took at the wonderful Camp Pluckyfluff. I highly recommend this camp to anyone that spins only lace or sock weight yarn. You may have control issues and need to learn to let go.
